BOATMAN MEDIA LIMITED (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Veloce VPN mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information when you use our App. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency regarding our data practices.
1. Strict No-Log Policy
We maintain a strict zero-logs policy. Your privacy is our primary concern. When you use Veloce VPN to connect to the internet, we do not collect, record, store, or share any of the following:
- Browsing history or visited websites.
- Data content or communications.
- DNS queries.
- Originating IP addresses or destination IP addresses.
- Connection timestamps or bandwidth usage logs.
2. Account and Personal Information
Veloce VPN is designed to be used directly without requiring a mandatory account. We generally do not require or collect personal identification information such as your name, phone number, or physical address. However, if you proactively choose to use our email verification feature, we will collect and process your email address and the associated verification code strictly to facilitate this specific service.
3. Data Collected by Third-Party Services
To maintain the performance of the App, analyze usage trends, and provide free services supported by advertising, we integrate specific third-party SDKs. These third parties may collect device identifiers and usage data according to their own privacy policies. We utilize the Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, and you maintain control over ad tracking via your iOS settings.
Google AdMob: Used to serve advertisements within the free version of the App. AdMob may collect mobile identifiers (like the iOS IDFA), IP addresses, and interaction data to provide personalized or non-personalized ads.
Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics: Used to understand how users interact with the App and to identify technical crashes. Data collected is aggregated and anonymized, including device model, operating system version, session duration, and crash traces.
Yandex (AppMetrica): Used for aggregated product analytics and attribution tracking to help us improve the user experience.
Adjust: Used for mobile attribution and measuring the performance of our marketing campaigns. Adjust may collect device identifiers (such as IDFA) and engagement data to help us optimize our advertising efforts, understand user interactions, and analyze marketing effectiveness.
Meta: Used for ad performance tracking, measuring subscription conversion statistics, and diagnosing SDK performance. Meta may collect device identifiers, product interaction data, and anonymous subscription transaction identifiers in accordance with its privacy practices.
4. Application Permissions and Usage
To provide the core functionality of Veloce VPN and enhance your user experience, the App may request the following iOS system permissions:
VPN Configuration Permission (Network Extension)
Trigger Point: Prompted by the iOS system to add a VPN configuration when you first click “Connect” and select “Allow and Connect”.
Purpose: Used to create a Packet Tunnel and securely route your network traffic.
Impact of Refusal: If denied, you will be unable to connect to the VPN.
Notification Permission
Trigger Point: Requested after you click “Allow and Connect” and before the first connection (requesting permission for banners, badges, and sounds).
Purpose: Used to provide VPN connection status updates and data usage/exhaustion reminders.
Impact of Refusal: Denying this permission will not prevent you from connecting to or using the VPN.
App Tracking Transparency (ATT) Permission
Trigger Point: Requested from free users upon the first App launch, after advertising privacy consent is completed and while the App is in the foreground.
Purpose: Requests the use of your device’s IDFA for ad tracking to provide personalized advertising and measure ad performance.
Impact of Refusal: If denied, you can still use the VPN services normally, but the advertisements you see may be less relevant to your interests.
5. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
We offer premium features via auto-renewable subscriptions. All financial transactions are processed securely by Apple via the App Store.
We do not have access to, nor do we collect or store, your credit card details, billing name, or billing address.
We only receive an anonymous receipt token from Apple to verify your purchase status and unlock premium features via our App Group configuration.
6. Children’s Privacy
Our App is intended for a general audience and is rated 4+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take immediate steps to delete such data.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or for legal compliance. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the “Effective Date” at the top of this policy.
